Gen. 7: Matthias Hauss, b. 1739 (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany), d. 1829 (Madison Co., Virginia); m. 1762 (Frederick Co., VA), Maria Margaretta Jaeckler, b. 1743 (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany), about 1812 (Madison Co., VA).
Gen. 6: Adam House, Sr., b. 1763 (Shenandoah Co., VA), d. 1852 (Washington Co., MO); m. Catherine Tanner, b. 1766 (Culpeper Co., VA), d. 1839 (Washington Co., MO). During the American Revolution, Adam joined the militia under Capt. Bohannan as a substitute for his father, Matthias House, who was drafted, but Adam was released after four months due to health. Captured by British and escaped, Adam reports events as occurring in 1779 or 1780, but reference to a Col. Tarleton suggests events occurred in 1781 and means that Adam left his regiment days before the surrender at Yorktown. Later denied war pension because he did not serve six months.

Gen. 3: Richard H. House, b. about 1838, d. 1920, bur. Bethel Cemetery (Summerville, MO); m. 1868 (Texas Co., MO), Armilda Pults, b. 1847 (Fentress Co., TN), d. 1908, bur. Bethel Cemetery (Summerville, MO). During the Civil War, Richard was a member of Company D, 30th Arkansas Infantry.
