Gen. 8: James Crump, d. about 1737; m., Catherine. There is no debate regarding Gen. 1 to Gen. 7. Ed Crump, Jr., has proposed James Crump, a Dublin merchant, and his wife Catherine as the parents of Adam.
Gen. 7: Adam Crump, between 1696 and 1699 (Co. Meath, Ireland), d. 1753 (Lancaster Co., VA); m2., Hannah Bushrod, b. about 1704 (Westmoreland Co., VA), d. 1774 (Lancaster Co., VA). Adam Crump was a landholder in Maryland and Virginia.
Gen. 6: John Bushrod Crump, Sr., b. 1748 (Lancaster Co., VA), d. about 1837 (Montgomery Co., NC); m. about 1775, Mary Stephens, b. about 1755, d. about 1859 (Montgomery Co., NC). Participated in Battle of Guilford Court House (Greensboro, NC) in 1781. DAR Ancestor #A028358.

Gen. 3: James Franklin Crump, Sr., b. 1844 (Anson Co., NC), d. 1893 (Cleveland Co., AR), bur. Bethlehem Cemetery (Rison, AR); m1. 1866 (Jefferson Co., AR), Sarah P. Henry, b. 1847 (Anson Co., NC), d. 1870 (Jefferson Co., AR), bur. Niven Cemetery (Rison, AR). James F. Crump enlisted in the 4th Regiment, Company A, North Carolina Cavalry in Anson Co., NC. on 10 May 1862. The unit was at Appomattox Court House in 1865 and officially surrendered--some members of the unit were captured but many escaped. James F. Crump is assumed to be one of the latter because there are no stories or records of his capture.
Gen. 2: William Henry Crump, b. 1870 (Jefferson Co., AR) d. 1955 (Arkansas State Tuberculosis Sanitorium, Booneville, AR), bur. Centerview Missionary Baptist Cemetery (Garland Co., AR); m. 1893 (Garland Co., AR), Nancy Angelina Johnson, b. 1877 or 1878 (Garland Co., AR), d. 1934 (State Mental Health Hospital, Little Rock, AR), bur. Centerview Missionary Baptist Cemetery (Garland Co., AR). William took ownership of 80 acres of land in 1907 in Garland Co., AR, under the Homestead Act of 1862.
